Terms and Conditions
The short version: the app types the sign-in form for you. Everything you agreed to with the network you are joining still applies to you.
These terms apply to your use of the WiFi Web Login app (the "App") and this website. By installing or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the App.
What the App actually does
The App fills in and submits a Wi-Fi sign-in page on your behalf, using details you have entered yourself or steps you have recorded yourself. That is the whole of it.
It does not break, bypass, defeat or circumvent any authentication. It does not crack passwords, evade payment, or grant you access you did not already have. If you could not sign in to a network by hand, the App cannot sign you in either.
Your responsibilities
Using the App does not exempt you from anything the network operator requires of you. Every Wi-Fi provider — the hotel, the airport, the cafe, the university, your employer — publishes its own terms of service, acceptable use policy and guidelines. Those remain entirely your obligation, exactly as if you had typed the form in yourself.
By using the App you confirm that:
- You will read and follow the terms, acceptable use policy and guidelines of every network you connect to, including any limits on session length, bandwidth, number of devices, or what the connection may be used for.
- You are authorised to use that network, and any credentials you enter are yours, or you have permission to use them.
- You will not use the App to obtain access you are not entitled to, to share or resell access, to evade a paywall, time limit or device limit, or to work around a block or ban.
- You will not use the App for anything unlawful, or for anything the network operator prohibits.
- You accept that a network operator may suspend or terminate your access for breaching its terms, and that this is a matter between you and that operator.
Put plainly: automating your own sign-in is fine. Using automation to take something you have not been given is not. Do not do anything evil with it.
Your credentials and recorded logins
Details you enter and logins you record are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for the accuracy of what you enter. See the Privacy Policy for how information is handled.
No warranty
The App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Captive portals vary enormously and change without notice, so we cannot promise that the App will sign you in to any particular network, or that it will keep working on a network where it previously did.
Some sign-in flows cannot be automated by anything, including those requiring a code sent by SMS or email, a payment, a booking reference checked against a reservation, or a CAPTCHA. That is a limitation of the portal, not a defect.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the App. That includes loss of connectivity, data charges, roaming charges, missed messages, or the suspension or termination of your access to any network.
Third-party services
The App is distributed through Google Play and uses third-party services listed in the Privacy Policy. Their own terms apply to their parts of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the App changes. The current version always lives at this address, with the date below.
